Use solar energy only for hot water

ELWA
ELWA is a 2 kW photovoltaic water heating device. The direct current from the photovoltaic modules is transferred directly to the integrated heating element and immediately converted into heat without losses. The integrated MPP Tracker ensures that the photovoltaic generator is always operated at the optimum operating point (similar to a photovoltaic inverter).

No connection to the power grid is required for operation, as the unit is powered by the photovoltaic generator (completely off-grid operation). The desired domestic hot water temperature is set with a rotary knob, and LED displays provide information on the current status of the device.

Your advantages with hot water from photovoltaic energy
Easier and cheaper than solar thermal systems

Every watt is used: linear control from 0 to 2 kW, depending on the photovoltaic yield.

No grid operator approval required: saves tedious administrative work because ELWA does not feed electricity into the grid. Especially in multi-story apartment projects, approval can take several months for grid-connected photovoltaic systems.

Easier installation with “cables instead of pipes,” less valuable copper, no maintenance costs.

Stratification heating possible with 2 devices.

Works even in the event of a power failure.

Boost backup optionally usable.

No antifreeze liquid required.

Cables have almost no energy loss compared to pipes.
