H2Douro – Ruralities of the Green Douro

It is at Quinta do Fojo, a property located in the heart of the Douro Verde region and its Millenary Landscapes, that we carry out our agricultural activity.
H2Douro was created in 2011 with the aim of diversifying the Quinta’s agricultural production. After an extensive market analysis, the production of value-added vegetables became the focus of our strategic plan.
Given the small size of the property, with only 1.5 hectares, we had to look for new products and modern, efficient and sustainable production processes, both from an economic and environmental point of view.
Over the years, the area under cultivation grew from 1.5 ha to 8 ha, and the products grown diversified into vegetables, fruits, small fruits, aromatics and microgreens.
With the outbreak of the Covid-19 global pandemic, we were faced with the closure of all our hotel and catering customers, which forced us to reinvent ourselves.
This is how we bring the best of what we grow to everyone.
