Julian Brown, a 21-year-old inventor from Atlanta and founder of the startup NatureJab, became an internet sensation in 2024 after unveiling a device that could turn plastic waste into a usable fuel he called “plastoline.”

His innovation—a solar-assisted microwave pyrolysis reactor—converts everyday plastic into clean-burning gasoline or diesel alternatives. Brown’s enthusiasm, clear DIY engineering, and powerful environmental message captivated millions across TikTok, YouTube, and science forums.

But now, just months after his groundbreaking invention went viral, Julian Brown has mysteriously vanished—sparking growing fears that he may have been silenced by powerful interests intent on burying disruptive technologies.

Brown’s invention wasn’t just a clever trick; it was independently tested by ASAP Labs in Houston and Vancouver, which confirmed that the fuel his process produced was comparable in energy content and performance to traditional diesel.

While some experts raised valid concerns over toxicity—particularly the presence of BTEX compounds like benzene and toluene in the crude output—many saw his work as a bold first step toward decentralizing fuel production and tackling both plastic pollution and fossil fuel dependence in one stroke.
